Vivint

Vivint is a smart home tech company founded in Provo, Ut. My role as a creative copywriter was to increase brand awareness while we were transitioning from smart security to a fully integrated home automation system with solar. In the past, most of Vivint's sales have been by door-to-door reps. But since my time at Vivint, our in-house advertising team was able to double brand awareness and use online marketing tools to make more sales.

From pitching commercial scripts with my creative directors to digital display ads across social platforms and from sound branding to logo animations, I’ve had the pleasure to wear many different hats.

 

Let’s be more social

Influencers are the wild west. Can we measure an overnight sensation? What makes someone or something viral? And, how can we make an ad not feel like an ad? 

Traditional advertising is out the window. New advertising is word of mouth through a celebrity/personal brand. I’ve worked closely with influencers, wrote creative briefs, and created content that services both Vivint and the influencer's brand.

 

Snooperbowl Influencer Campaign

Here are two things to know about Snoop Dogg:

1. He was once a Vivint ambassador.

2. He performed the Superbowl LVI halftime show.

By repurposing past Vivint content, we found a creative way for influencers to interact with their Doorbell Camera Pro through song and dance.

Rebranding

Our advertising team took on the opportunity of transitioning Vivint from a smart security space into a “Category of One”. We worked directly with Founder Music for sound branding and paired it with title cards. Changing our brand means changing our brand voice. The second video showcases an introductory concept of our new approach.
